doing good within the community
1990 ads
Their 1990 "Everybody Needs Somebody" commercial:
Must've been some of the greater commercials back in the 90's. However, I have found it harder to find more recently produced ones. It wouldn't be too hard to believe that that they are overwhelmed their own growth and busy opening up new locations. If you didn't catch it, in the second commercial, they mentioned 16,000 locations. Comparing 16,000 locations then with 300,000 locations now, they are averaging 16,705 new locations each year for the last 17 years! Now I wouldn't mind owning a few company shares.

take them to the beach
This seems to be more of an advertising product rather than something that people would purchase for practical use.

"There are so many options to explore!"
a little short on cash?
A while ago, I had located this TV ad for one of our first class projects. However, we didn't end up using it.
I've got to warn you, the video is a little blurry, but it does a good job advertising by placing emphasis on how fast it is to transfer.

who says you can't learn something new outside of school!
Having seen the post on all the various locations that Western Union transfers funds to, I decided to do a lookup on their site for the agent locations within Lethbridge. Boy was a surprised. Lethbridge, Alberta, being a city with a population of over 77 thousand, had 16 agent locations! That was 13 more than my estimated number.
For all those Lethbridge residents, here are the locations:

anything you could want to learn...
"Western Union was founded in Rochester, New York, in 1851 as The New York and Mississippi Valley Printing Telegraph Company.
"After a series of acquisitions of competing companies by Hiram Sibley & Don Alonzo Watson the company changed its name to Western Union Telegraph Company in 1856 at the insistence of Ezra Cornell, one of the founders of Cornell University [1], to signify the joining of telegraph lines from coast to coast.
"Western Union completed the first transcontinental telegraph line in 1861. In 1865 it formed the Russian American Telegraph in an attempt to link America to Europe, via Alaska, into Siberia, to Moscow."

This commercial features a real Western Union customer who has had a lot of experience transferring money, and prefers Western Union over other money transferring companies that he has worked with.
